(Radio-Canada)Two people have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault after a 36-year-old man was stabbed several times in a north Winnipeg park early Friday morning.Just after 2 a.m., Winnipeg police were called with a report of a stabbing in St. John’s Park, near Main Street and St. John’s Avenue.Officers found a 36-year-old man suffering from multiple stab sounds. He was given first-aid treatment and taken to hospital in unstable condition, a Saturday news release from police said.He was upgraded to stable condition and gave officers detailed descriptions of the people who attacked him.Police found the first suspect near Salter Street and St. John’s Avenue about 10 minutes after the initial call came in. A knife was seized from that person, police said. A second suspect was found nearby on Salter Street, between Mountain Avenue and Manitoba Avenue. A 25-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. An 18-year-old man was charged with aggravated assault. Both were detained in custody.More from CBC Manitoba:
