(Rudi Pawlychyn/CBC)Four people were sent to hospital after a fire broke out in Winnipeg’s Transcona neighbourhood Saturday morning. Crews were dispatched to the home on Yale Avenue W., west of Bond Street and a couple of blocks north of Regent Avenue, just before 7:30 a.m., according to a city news release. They found heavy smoke and flames coming from the house and began an offensive attack, the release said.Firefighters rescued one person from inside the house. Everyone else got out before they arrived.Paramedics assessed four people who were taken to hospital — one in critical condition and the others in stable condition, the city said.The fire was brought under control by 8:15 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
