(Robert Short/CBC)Five people are in custody and one person is in hospital following a Friday evening shooting in Halifax.Halifax Regional Police said they responded to a report of an assault involving weapons on Intercolonial Street in Halifax at about 5:50 p.m. Before the police arrived, there were further reports that shots were fired.In a news release on Friday night, police said everyone who was involved in the shooting fled the area but were “quickly located and arrested.” No one has been charged yet.One person is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.Intercolonial Street, Hood Street and a section of Kempt Road have been closed and police are advising people to avoid the area.Police are also turning to the public for more information or video.
