(Ryan McLeod/CBC)A man has been killed after being hit by a taxi in downtown Vancouver on Friday night, police say.Vancouver police say the collision happened at the intersection of Smithe and Cambie streets just after 10 p.m. PT on Friday.There, they say a 55-year-old man was hit by a Black Top Taxi vehicle, and died after being taken to hospital.Police say the taxi driver suffered minor injuries and remained at the scene.The exact circumstances of the crash are currently being investigated by police.They’re asking anyone with more information, including dashcam footage from the area, to contact them.Police say a 55-year-old man died after being hit by the taxi, and the driver remained on the scene.
