(David Donnelly/CBC)Manitoba Hydro says charging stations for electric vehicles will be installed along the highway to Thompson.They are expected to be located in six spots along Highway 6 between Winnipeg and the northern hub.There are hundreds of electric vehicle charging stations in the province, but most of them are on major highways and in southern communities, Manitoba Hydro said.The Crown corporation says five of the sites will have chargers capable of topping up vehicles in 20 to 30 minutes.The first phase of the Crown corporation’s charging network is expected to be fully operational by spring 2027.
