(Jaison Empson/CBC)A man is dead after being stabbed on Waterfront Drive in Winnipeg’s South Point Douglas neighbourhood.Police were called just before 2 a.m. Sunday to Waterfront, between Higgins and George avenues, and found 43-year-old Kerry Eastman in critical condition, police said in a news release on Monday morning.They provided emergency care until paramedics arrived. Eastman was rushed to hospital, where he later died from his injuries.Eastman is a member of Sandy Bay First Nation and was living in Winnipeg.Anyone with information is asked to contact the homicide unit at 204-986-6508.
