He can set up plays and has a heavy release.“We were really high on Jones for a long time,” Mullett said. “He’s a great kid (who) interviewed well.”He suspects Jones will be motivated and determined for the 2025-26 season.“Anytime you have an athlete that is very confident in himself and his ability (who) kind of gets overlooked … you can’t be frustrated. You have to use it as fuel,” Flanagan added.“I think Jonesy is going to be one of those players that takes that and runs with it.”Jones said he believes he can make the jump to junior A and will be ready when training camp begins in August.“We’re hopeful he can step in next year and make his presence known,” Mullett said.Article content
