(David Lipnowski/The Canadian Press)One youth has been arrested and is facing several weapons-related charges, after police say another youth was robbed at knifepoint by multiple teens on Sunday in Winnipeg. Around 8:37 p.m., a youth was robbed of his belongings in a parking lot near Sargent Avenue and Berry Street, a Winnipeg Police Service media release put out on Wednesday said.Police said officers spoke with the victim, who said he was approached by several teens, and that each pulled a knife from fanny packs they were wearing. One of the teens cut the victim with a knife and stole his personal property before he was able to run away. He did not require medical attention, police said.Using a description provided by the victim, officers were able to find one of the suspects on Ellice Avenue between Ferry Road and Berry Street and arrest him. During the arrest, police recovered a knife, as well as property believed to have been stolen from the victim, the release said.A 16-year-old boy was charged with robbery, possessing a weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
