For every hour you read, earn one Reading Dragon playing card. Collect them all and play games with your friends. Sundays at 1 p.m. will feature family movie afternoons. June 29 will be “Dog Man,” July 6 we’ll be showing “The Emperor’s New Groove,” July 13 is “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken” and July 20 the blockbuster hit, “Paddington in Peru.” Like your cartoons in a party style? All ages are welcome at Pokemon Party on July 9 at 1 p.m.Article contentArticle contentArticle contentFor ages 0-12 months, Wiggle, Giggle, Read happens weekly on Mondays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 2 p.m. Ages 1-2 can graduate to Toddlertime on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. and Thursdays at 11 a.m. Preschool Storytime for ages 3-5 has moved to a new time, Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.Article contentThere are all kinds of weekly programs happening for ages 5-12, kicking off with Brilliant Labs Electrifying Experiments on Mondays at 10 a.m. Tuesdays will be Storytime in the Park at 3 p.m. This program will happen in Connaught Square with the library as the rain location. Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. Creative Kids Club offers crafty afternoon fun. Messy Science will happen on Fridays at 1 p.m. For tweens ages 9-12 Creativity Lab is Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. with cool crafts and spectacular science experiments.Article contentFor teen programs for ages 13-18, there is Teen Volunteer Club on Mondays at 4 p.m. Running for the month of July is Pride bingo. Pick up a bingo sheet and fill in a row or a column for a chance to win a movie night at Cineplex. Our Teen Summer Challenge will start in July — every time you visit the library get a scratch ticket. Tickets will let you enter to win the grand prize or vote on what local charity will get a donation at the end of the summer.Article contentArticle contentOf course we didn’t forget the adults in the summer. Adults can grab an Adult Summer Library Challenge ballot and complete 10 challenges to enter for a prize (one grand prize per county). And we didn’t forget you for programs either!Article contentCreative opportunities abound. Crafternoon on July 9 at 1 p.m. with pressed flower greeting cards, and the Creative P.E.I. Artmobile will be on hand July 2 and July 16 at 10:30 a.m. with craft and conversation fun.
