(Gabrielle Huston/CBC)A 34-year-old woman who was badly injured when she was struck by a falling tree in Almonte last week has died, according to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).The woman was walking near the intersection of Ann and Church streets around 8:20 a.m. on July 8 when the tree fell, police said on social media. She was rushed to hospital in critical condition.OPP said on Monday the woman had died from her injuries. She was from Mississippi Mills, the eastern Ontario township that includes Almonte, but police did not share her name.The investigation is ongoing, OPP said Monday. The coroner’s office is also involved.
