He went on to spend countless hours at the New Waterford club watching the sport.Article contentDurdle died on Nov. 5, 1995, but his memory still lives on at the club.Article contentThe New Waterford Tennis Club approached Kavanaugh with the idea of changing the name of the venue’s annual tournament to the Peter Durdle Memorial Open.
