(Pictureguy/Shutterstock)A tornado warning that was in effect for parts of southeastern Manitoba is now over.Environment and Climate Change Canada issued the warning at around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, with a severe thunderstorm making its way through the region. The warning was in effect for the rural municipality of Alexander, including Powerview-Pine Falls and Bissett.It had been lifted as of 8:10 p.m., though severe thunderstorms warning remained in effect for Bissett and Nopiming Provincial Park. Watches were also in effect for most of the region.The federal agency says people should take immediate cover if a thunderstorm approaches.
