(Benjamin Andrews/CBC)The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) homicide unit is investigating the death of a man Saturday evening near the city’s Chinatown neighbourhood.Emergency responders were called to Primrose Avenue E. near Arthur Street around 7:20 p.m. Saturday, police said in a news release later that night.Officers found a man with life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital but died shortly after, police said.On Sunday afternoon, police identified the victim as Paul Scott Landymore, 63, of Ottawa.An Ottawa paramedics spokesperson confirmed several paramedic units were on the scene Saturday night and took one adult to the trauma centre. OPS said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. There is no further risk to public safety, they said.Police asked anyone with information about the situation to contact the homicide unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5493.
