(Sue Holle)One person is dead after an accidental drowning at Melmerby Beach late Friday afternoon. Paul Service, an RCMP spokesperson, said Mounties, paramedics and fire services responded to the scene at 4:30 p.m.Officials said Monday the victim was a 60-year-old man from Ontario. Service said lifeguards at the provincial park near New Glasgow, N.S., also had to help a couple of other people out of the water at about the same time.
