(Mike Arsenault/CBC)Winnipeg police have cordoned off the stretch of an alley in the city’s Daniel McIntyre area, where residents say they saw what they believe was a man’s body in a garbage bin.Officers and cruisers were seen at around 4 p.m. Friday in a back lane behind Wellington Avenue, between Home and Arlington streets, where a handful of garbage and recycling bins were lined up behind police tape.Two residents living in the area, including one who called 911, told CBC they saw what they believe was a man’s body in a garbage bin on Friday morning. “I just … looked out the garage door, and there was a body in a garbage can sticking out,” said James Tobin, one of the residents.”I feel sorry whoever it was.… I’m still kind of shaken.”Winnipeg police told CBC News an investigation is ongoing but said they couldn’t share more information at the time. With files from Mike Arsenault
