(Submitted by Cranbrook Tourism)One woman is dead and two people are missing after going over the Meachen Creek Falls in the East Kootenays on Labour Day weekend, according RCMP in Kimberley.Kimberley Search and Rescue, a drone, police dogs, and Big Horn helicopters have been dispatched in the search for the missing people. Police were notified about the incident by a GPS SOS on Sept. 1.Meachen Creek Falls is near Kimberley, which is about 320 kilometres east of Kelowna.The falls are� 85 metres deep, according to Tourism Kimberley, and there are canyon views and wooded forests in the area.
