(Earthquakes Canada)A magnitude 4.8 earthquake hit off the B.C. coast, south of Haida Gwaii, on Sunday morning.Earthquakes Canada says the quake, which was reported just after 8 a.m. PT around 200 km southwest of Bella Bella in the Pacific Ocean, was not felt by residents in the area.The agency says that there were no reports of damage, and none would be expected in this instance.It adds that the quake struck at a depth of 10 km, and follows a magnitude 3 earthquake that struck in a similar location on Friday just before 9 a.m. PT.A magnitude 3.6 earthquake around 70 kilometres west of Victoria was lightly felt by residents on southern Vancouver Island on Aug. 18.
