(Submitted by RCMP)A 39-year-old man is wanted for allegedly breaking into a Portage la Prairie home and assaulting a woman while children were in the house.Burton (Cody) Campbell from Ebb and Flow First Nation faces charges of breaking and entering, assault while choking, suffocating or strangling, and four counts of violating conditions of a release order, an RCMP news release said on Thursday.RCMP said the break-in happened on 11th Street N.W. in Portage la Prairie on Sept. 3 at about 3:45 a.m.When Mounties arrived, an injured woman was at the door and told them a man she knew broke in, assaulted her and took off. RCMP were also told children were home at the time, the release says.The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.Anyone with information about Campbell’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact investigators at 204-857-4445.
