(Nick Allan/CBC)A man is dead after a shooting in Burnaby, B.C., Wednesday evening, according to the police.In a statement, Burnaby RCMP say police responded to multiple reports of shots fired near Still Creek Avenue and Still Creek Drive, in North Burnaby, just before 5:30 p.m. PT.When officers arrived, they found a man who had already died at the scene.According to RCMP, about 15 minutes later, officers were called to a vehicle fire near Nursery Street and Lakefield Drive, about a 10-minute drive away in South Burnaby. Mounties say investigators are working to determine if the two incidents are connected.Police say while it is still early in the investigation, the shooting is believed to be targeted and that there is no ongoing risk to the public.The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over the case and investigators are asking for witnesses, as well as anyone with dash-cam video or CCTV footage from either location, to come forward.
