(Delta Police Department)Delta Police are investigating after a car crash left a 69-year-old woman dead Sunday afternoon.A report of a serious two-vehicle collision at the intersection of 116 Street and 77A Avenue came in at 12:20 p.m., according to a police news release.Despite efforts from the Delta Fire Department and B.C. paramedics, the woman died as a result of the crash, according to police.Police said impairment does not appear to be a factor.The road will be closed along 116 Street between 75A Avenue and 80 Avenue “for the next several hours,” Delta PD said on Sunday afternoon. Police are asking people to avoid the area.Witnesses and those with CCTV or dashcam footage are asked to contact Delta Police.
