(Kirk Fraser/CBC)A third man is charged with attempted murder after an 11-year-old Regina girl was shot in her own home last month, city police say.Michael Mayer, 41, was arrested Thursday evening, police said in a Friday morning news release.Mayer is also charged with conspiracy to commit murder, as well as several gun-related charges.Two co-accused, Anthony Nahbexie, 20, and Devon Nahbexie, 18, were arrested Tuesday evening and face similar charges.The girl’s father previously told CBC News that a total of 23 shots were fired at his home in the early hours of Aug. 11, three of which narrowly missed him and his wife.One bullet entered his daughter’s room and struck her on the side of her body, he said.The girl was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but she is doing OK now and is back in school, the father said.CBC News is not naming the father due to concerns he has for his safety and the safety of his family.Mayer was scheduled to make his first court appearance on the charges Friday morning in Regina provincial court.Regina police said Friday their investigation continues.
