Incident took place about a block away from Whitehorse RCMP detachment on April 1 Police are seeking witnesses after a “collision” between a Whitehorse RCMP SUV and a cyclist about a block away from the RCMP detachment in downtown Whitehorse. The incident involving the police cruiser and the person on a bike occurred at Fourth and Main streets at around 11 a.m. on April 1, according to a press release from RCMP on the evening of April 1. Emergency responders and Yukon RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene. The cyclist was treated at the hospital, as noted in the release. RCMP had no update on the situation or the extent of the cyclist’s injuries, as of late on the afternoon of April 2. The investigation by Yukon RCMP Traffic Services is ongoing.
