(CBC/Radio-Canada)A 48-year-old teacher from P.E.I.’s Prince County has been arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference, according to RCMP.In a news release Monday afternoon, police said Roger Mbahia was charged following an investigation that began on Sept. 25.According to the release, Mbahia had been a teacher in P.E.I. for approximately three weeks. His connection to the alleged victim isn’t clear at this time.Police did not say at which school he worked, but as of Monday a Roger M’bahia is listed on the school’s website as a teacher for the 2025-26 year at École Pierre-Chiasson in Tignish. Mbahia is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Summerside on Sept. 30.
