Northumberland Ferries initially cancelled all the morning trips up until noon, but then announced the 10 o’clock crossing would go ahead.According to a statement, the problem was with the MV Confederation. The issue kept the MV Northumberland from sailing as well because the berth in Wood Islands, P.E.I. was blocked. The statement did not clarify what the problem was.
