At approximately 3:10 p.m., RCMP, EHS and fire services responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 118. Officers learned a Hyundai Accent was travelling south when it went off the road and into the ditch. The driver and lone occupant of the Hyundai, a 21-year-old man from Hanwell, N.B., was pronounced deceased at the scene. An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the location of the crash and the investigation is ongoing. The highway was closed for several hours, but has since reopened. The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment asks anyone with information or dashcam video of the crash to call 902-490-5050.
