Published Oct 13, 20251 minute readThe Glace Bay Panthers girls’ team recently captured the School Sport Nova Scotia Highland Region Division 1 baseball championship during a tournament at Gerry Marsh Ball Field in New Waterford. The Panthers will play in the provincial championship tournament this weekend in Oxford. Along with Glace Bay and the host Oxford, the two-day, four-team event will also feature Barrington and Lockview. Glace Bay will open the tournament on Friday at 4:30 p.m., against Oxford at George Henley Memorial Field. The winner will advance to the championship game on Saturday at 12 p.m. The loser will play in the bronze medal game earlier in the day at 10 a.m. Members of the team are shown with the Highland Region banner.
