(CBC)A group of children were near a park in Winnipeg’s Centennial neighbourhood when a man threw a water bottle at a boy and chased him down the street, police say.The children were playing by the park, close to Pacific Avenue and Ellen Street, around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, when the bottle was thrown at the boy, police said in a news release on Tuesday.A man then chased the boy, screaming at him, police said.The group ran to the home of one of the children and told a parent what happened. The parent took a photo of the man and called police.Officers found a man at the encampment and have charged him with assault with a weapon.Police did not provide any information about the ages of the kids or whether the boy was hit by the bottle. They did say he was not physically injured.
