(Vernon Ramesar/CBC)A 30-year-old man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a shooting at a Halifax homeless encampment.In a news release issued Sunday, Halifax Regional Police said they were called to Lower Flinn Park around 9:55 a.m. Sunday.Police say the injured man was taken to hospital. They do not believe the shooting was random.Early Sunday afternoon, one lane of traffic was blocked off on Quinpool Road on the Flinn Park side as police investigated. Part of the sidewalk was cordoned off with police tape.There were around a half-dozen police vehicles there, with some officers inside the encampment collecting evidence in plastic bags.Several police vehicles are shown at the Lower Flinn Park homeless encampment in Halifax on Sunday.
