(Sonia Timbre/Facebook)A Fredericton man charged with second-degree murder was in court on Friday with his lawyer, who requested an adjournment to review disclosure. Aaron Jesse Rice, 45, was taken into custody last month and charged in the death of 42-year-old Sonia Vivian Timbre.Fredericton police discovered Timbre’s body in a downtown residence on Sept. 7, along with Rice, who was taken to hospital. The major crime unit launched an investigation and concluded Timbre’s death was a homicide.On Friday, Rice appeared in court with a cast on his lower left arm, but it’s not known if the injury is connected to the hospitalization. Angèle Normand told the court she was assigned Rice’s case but had not received disclosure. She said she expects to receive it in the coming days. Justice David Walker adjourned the case for three weeks to give defence time to review the file. Rice was remanded in custody and will appear in court in person on Nov. 14, when a date will be set for a preliminary inquiry.
