(RCMP)A search is underway for a missing senior in Fraser Lake, B.C.RCMP say 82-year-old Wilma Friesen was last seen visiting a friend in Fraser Lake at around 3 p.m. PT on Monday. Friesen told her friend she was going grocery shopping before heading home, police say. She was reported missing by her husband.Volunteers are scouring forestry roads and highways around the community, which is located about 150 kilometres west of Prince George along Highway 16.Police say Friesen had a medical appointment in Prince George on Tuesday, and was supposed to use a ride service to get there, but she was not present at the scheduled pickup time.Jennel Taheri, a community member who is helping co-ordinate volunteer search efforts, describes Friesen as a “beloved longtime member of our town,” which is home to about 960 people.Friesen is believed to have been driving a silver 2020 Ford Edge with B.C. licence plate XL136F, which is also unaccounted for.
