(Ontario Provincial Police/Facebook)A man charged this week with first-degree murder in the disappearance of Robbie Thomson in Smiths Falls co-owns a property with another missing man — a property being extensively searched by Ontario Provincial Police.Property records show Robert Lambert first bought the property on Kelly Jordan Road in 2004.Christopher Fenton became a co-owner in April 2018, three months before Lambert was last seen. The property was paid off in 2019.3 charged with 1st-degree murder in case of missing Smiths Falls area manLambert was reported missing Nov. 30, 2018. Investigators were told he had returned to the U.S., where he’s originally from, OPP spokesperson Bill Dickson said Friday.But there was no record of Lambert crossing the border, Dickson said. He declined to tell CBC who provided the information that Lambert had gone to the U.S.A $50,000 reward was offered in the unsolved case earlier this year.”While it’s still officially a missing person case, we can’t rule out the fact that there could have been foul play connected to his disappearance,” Dickson said.Human remains found at property ThursdayOPP announced Friday morning that human remains had been found on the property. Dickson told CBC they were recovered during the day Thursday.The remains have been sent for forensic and post-mortem examinations, and to confirm identity.”We can’t speculate on the identity of those remains, nor could we speculate on whether Robert Lambert is on that property at this point in time.
