Her license was suspended as a result.Article contentOn Oct. 25, the 32-year-old woman was stopped and ticketed for driving at excessive speeds along the Trans-Labrador Highway. Police observed that motorist speeding 54 km/h over the posted speed limit, between the communities of Lodge Bay and Red Bay.Article contentThe 18-year-old man pulled over on Witless Bay Line had his licence suspended. The traffic stop occurred about 8:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 29. A Traffic Services East officer stopped the vehicle observed travelling at speeds up to 140 km/h in a 80 km/hr zone on Route 13 – Witless Bay Line.Article contentThe driver was ticketed for excessive speeding and issued a seven-day suspension under the Highway Traffic Act.Article contentRCMP Newfoundland and Labrador urges motorists to slow down and plan ahead.Article content“The extra minute or two that you might save by speeding is not worth it.
