He is charged with manslaughter, careless use of a firearm, carrying a weapon for the purpose of committing an offence and being in a vehicle knowing there’s a firearm inside. Myers, 44, was travelling in one of two vehicles that was hit by bullets while driving on Highway 39 just northwest of Weyburn on the evening of Sept. 12. The shooting put people living in the city and the surrounding area on edge. Some local residents told CBC they were avoiding driving on the portion of Highway 39 where Myers died, scared the shooter might strike again. Fahlman was arrested Saturday in Regina after a seven-week-long investigation.In court on Tuesday, defence lawyer Sharon Fox said she needed more time to prepare for a bail hearing.“There’s a few pieces that need to come into place.
