(Heywood Yu/The Canadian Press)The University of Saskatchewan Huskies and Queen’s University Gaels will go head to head in the Mitchell Bowl on Saturday afternoon at Griffiths Stadium in Saskatoon, with a trip to the national championship Vanier Cup on the line.The game follows the Huskies’ close win against the Regina Rams on Nov. 8, where they edged out a 25-24 victory to win the Hardy Cup.The Huskies finished first place in the Canada West conference regular season, entering the postseason with a dominant 7-1 record.The Queen’s University Gaels finished fourth in the Ontario University Athletics season. They finished with a 5-3 record, and beat the Laurier Golden Hawks 30-27 in the Yates Cup to land the match against the Huskies.The last time the two teams clashed was in the 1989 Churchill Bowl, which was replaced by the Uteck Bowl in 2003.
