She died of a gunshot wound.Fahlman appeared at his bail hearing Wednesday at Weyburn Court of King’s Bench, the first time he’s attended a court proceeding related to Myers’s death in person.A publication ban covers the evidence and proceedings at the hearing.Fahlman, wearing a grey dress shirt and jeans, sat in a box behind his lawyer, looking straight ahead for most of the hearing while occasionally fixing his beard.More than a dozen people sat in the courtroom behind Fahlman, some crying while listening to the proceedings.Fahlman didn’t make eye contact with the people there, but nodded his assent when asked if he would like to attend the second day of his bail hearing in person on Thursday, when Judge Michael Morris is expected to make a decision.The Crown is opposing his release.Myers was a passenger in her friend Andrea Morrice’s SUV on the evening of Sept. 12. Morrice recounted the events to CBC in a previous interview.They were returning from a day trip to Regina, where they had shopped and attended a fair focused on crystals, Morrice said.Tanya Myers, 44, was returning from a trip to Regina with a friend when she was shot and killed while travelling in an SUV on Highway 39 near Weyburn.
