Catcheway is considered a high risk to reoffend in a sexual and/or sexually violent manner against women and girls, according to the release.He has a history of sexual and violent offences, including sexually assaulting unconscious females, the release said. He also has a history of failing to comply with court orders, it said.Police say Catcheway served an aggregate sentence of four years and six months in prison for transmitting sexually explicit material to a person under 16 years of age, luring a person under 16 by means of telecommunication, indecent exposure to a person under 16, and failure to comply with a court order. He refused to participate in required sexual offender programming while he was in custody, the release said.Catcheway has been released with a long list of conditions that include not owning or possessing a cellphone, and abstaining from possessing or consuming alcohol or other intoxicants. He is also not allowed to contact previous victims or their immediate family.He is also prohibited for 20 years from being near spaces where people younger than 16 are or could be present, accessing the internet unless following court-ordered conditions, and contacting anyone under 16 years, unless he does so with a court-approved supervisor.Police say anyone with information regarding Catchway can call the Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit at 431 489-8056 or contact the Winnipeg Police Service at 204-986-2222.
