Jayden Croft opened the scoring for the Weeks with a first-period marker, which was followed by three Pictou County goals in the second period courtesy of Jack Cameron, Cole Pugsley, and Nathan Kydd, who also had two assists in the game. Croft, Cameron, and Pugsley each added an assist for two-point games.    Article contentEli Swain rounded out the Weeks scoring in the third while Jared Sorhaindo picked up the shutout in goal.   Article contentIn the quarter-final win versus another P.E.I. team, the Charlottetown Knight, Pictou County earned a 6-1 win powered by a Kydd hat-trick. Pugsley, Cameron, and Hunter Green added the other Weeks’ goals, while Sorhaindo earned the win in goal. Article contentArticle contentPictou County started their tournament off on Thursday with a 3-0 win over Ontario Hockey Academy Maroon. A Saturday (Nov. 22) evening (6 p.m.) match-up at the Al MacInnis Sports Centre is followed by a 1 p.m. face-off the following day.
