(Antionio Guillem/Fotolia)A 17-year-old girl who allegedly arranged to buy a cellphone from a man over social media stabbed him after buying the device during a face-to-face meetup this week, Winnipeg police say.Officers were called to the area of McGregor Street and Carruthers Avenue on Wednesday at about 7 p.m. after reports of a stabbing following an online sales transaction, police said in a news release Thursday.A 47-year-old man arranged to sell his phone to the 17-year-old over social media. When the pair met up for the deal the teen was with an adult.After the deal was done the teen allegedly came back and stabbed the man, police said, before taking off.Officers provided emergency care to the man where they found him on Aberdeen Avenue. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.The 17-year-old was charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of failing to comply with a sentence. She had two warrants out for her for eight violations of release-order conditions, police said.She was detained in custody.
