It is not uncommon to see them along Keltic Drive, King’s Road, Sydney River, Prime Brook, anywhere along the Sydney Bypass (Highway 125), or many other areas throughout the municipality and island.Article contentArticle contentArticle contentKeeping our municipality clean and tidy is more important than ever. Cape Breton is a major tourist destination, welcoming visitors from all over the world who then judge us on first appearances. Garbage and debris along our main arteries is not a good look for any visitor to our beautiful island and municipality.Article contentArticle contentLately, I have witnessed a few others helping Cindy and the CBRM Beautification and Environmental Committee, and it is inspirational to see the community take pride in the CBRM. We are struggling with many years of decline, and now that we see development, growth and progress, we all should lead by Cindy MacPhail’s, and this group’s example to beautify our home.Article contentArticle contentPlease do not litter, as it has such a negative impact on our reputation as a tourist destination, and when you see Cindy’s grey Honda parked along our roads, give her a little toot to thank her for all she does.Article contentArticle contentThank you, Cindy, the CBRM Beautification and Environmental Committee and everyone who picks up garbage throughout Cape Breton Island. Your hard work does not go unnoticed.Article contentArticle contentRuss GreenArticle contentHowie CenterArticle content
