(Ryan McLeod/CBC)A woman in her 40s is dead after a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning in western Prince Edward Island.At about 4:20 a.m., Prince District RCMP, the Tignish Fire Department and Island EMS responded to the crash on Route 2 in St. Peter & St. Paul, just north of Profit’s Corner, RCMP said in a news release.The driver of the SUV, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.Police said Route 2 was closed for several hours while a traffic reconstructionist attended the scene.The road has since reopened.
