(CBC)A 21-year-old Richmond County man has been charged with multiple sexual offences including sexual interference, sexual assault and making child sex abuse material.According to a news release, Eskasoni RCMP received a report of a man causing a disturbance at a home on November 19. Police say the man had tried to get inside the house to see a young person who was inside. An investigation, according to police, revealed the man had started a relationship with the youth, who is between the ages of 12 and 15, online in September.He was arrested on November 22 at his home on Chapel Island. Police executed a search warrant and seized an electronic device during the search.The man is facing multiple charges including sexual interference (the intentional sexual touching of a person under the age of 16, whether directly or indirectly), sexual assault, making child sexual abuse and exploitation material (a charge that used to be known as child pornography), luring a child, making sexually explicit material available to a child break and enter, and uttering threats.The man is in custody and is scheduled to appear in Sydney Provincial Court on December 16.Police believe there may be additional victims.
