(Shane Magee/CBC)A 30-year-old man has been arrested after missing a court appearance Monday in Moncton on a charge alleging he was part of a conspiracy to kill another man in 2019.An arrest warrant for Nicholas Daniel Bain, 30, had been issued after he missed his first appearance on the charge in Moncton provincial court Monday morning. New Brunswick RCMP confirmed to CBC News that Bain was arrested Tuesday by the Fredericton Police Force. Bain, Janson Bryan Baker, Jesse Todd Logue, Monique Alicia Boyer and Christopher Allen Lennon are jointly charged with conspiring to kill Sylvio Saulnier between Aug. 29, 2019 and Sept. 30, 2019. Sylvio Saulnier was the son of 78-year-old Bernard Saulnier and 74-year-old Rose-Marie Saulnier — who were found dead in their Dieppe home on Sept. 7, 2019. Baker, 29, is accused of killing the couple. His trial on first-degree murder charges is scheduled to start in January.Sylvio Saulnier died in 2023. RCMP have said his death “did not involve criminality.”The conspiracy charge was laid and announced by RCMP on Nov. 24. Bain was the only one of the five not already in custody.Court staff said Bain appeared in Moncton court on Wednesday and is scheduled to return Friday for a bail hearing. The four who did appear Monday are scheduled to return to court Jan. 5.
