The vehicle failed to stop for police and continued towards Placentia.Article contentArticle contentPolice located the vehicle and driver a short distance away, after a single-vehicle crash into the playground. The vehicle hit a power pole causing extensive damage and multiple downed power lines. The crash also prompted the closure of Route 100 between Jerseyside and Freshwater.Article contentThe driver was medically assessed at the scene by NL Emergency Health Services and transported to hospital as a precaution.
