(Meig Campbell/CBC)Two men have been charged after allegedly fleeing from police on Wednesday evening, in what started as a car chase in Dartmouth and ended in Halifax on foot.Around 9:10 p.m., Halifax Regional Police first saw the vehicle on Windmill Road in Dartmouth, with a licence plate not registered to it.After attempting to initiate a traffic stop, the driver increased speed and fled towards the MacKay Bridge before heading onto the Bedford Highway, going against traffic, according to a release from HRP.After taking Bayview Road, the car travelled up Lacewood Drive and struck a vehicle before coming to a stop on the wrong side of Dunbrack Street.Four occupants exited the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Around 9:30 p.m., three people were arrested. Two men, aged 36 and 38, were charged with a series of offenses, including flight and resisting a peace officer. One occupant was released without charges. The fourth has not been located.Police say no injuries were reported during this incident and the investigation is ongoing.MORE TOP STORIES
