The book sale will run Aug. 27-29 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Proceeds will support Cornwall Library programs and events.Article contentArticle contentArticle contentSunday, Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. is the last of our Fantastic Family Movies for the summer and we’ll be showing Aladdin. Sadly, it’s the last of several of our summer programs so fill your boots while you can.Article contentFor school age kids (grade 1-6), Brilliant Labs will be in the Makerspace with electrifying experiments on Aug. 18 at 6:30 p.m. and Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. Rock painting with Nature Makers Club is Aug. 19 at 3:30 p.m., Spectacular Science with Wizardly Science is Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. and for the slightly older tweens (ages 9-12) Tween Hangout on Aug.18 will feature heat press tote bags and ice cream. After that, all children’s library programs will be on a break for two weeks and will return after Labour Day.Article contentBack to the FutureArticle contentWe have some final summer-fun programs for teens too (ages 13-18). Don’t miss the final hurrah for the teen after hours movie and pizza night! Aug. 28, the back doors will be open from 5:15-5:45 p.m. for entry. Sept, 1 at 6 p.m. enjoy a traditional hands-on cooking experience with Brenda Dion from the Native Council of P.E.I. Space is limited so please register via the library’s calendar of events or call 902-368-4642. This lesson is in partnership with the City of Charlottetown to celebrate Local Food Discovery Week and as part of that, the library will also host a seed giveaway from Aug. 29-Sept. 9.
