She said they decided to combine their love for healthy products and holistic care and create a space that will serve as a community hub for wellness enthusiasts.Article content“We’re an all-encompassing destination for wellness,” said Gosse.Article content“We focus on natural, organic, sustainable, holistic as much as humanly possible, and bringing that to our community so people can truly navigate wellness and not feel like there are obstacles, and they can do it in a space that feels community oriented and safe and inviting and comfortable for them.”Article contentArticle contentArticle contentLuminate Co. coming to DartmouthArticle contentLuminate’s success in Bedford confirmed what the natural health advocates already knew: another location was needed to provide their health options for more people in the Halifax Regional Municipality.Article contentIn May, they secured space in a Dartmouth commercial plaza at 590 Portland St. Luminate is taking over a former TD Bank location and will eventually grow into adjacent units.Article content“We have a lot of customers that come from Dartmouth, Cole Harbour and the surrounding areas, and they’re travelling over to Bedford. So, we’re able to give an option to people that are traveling far but also people that don’t know about us or haven’t made the trek over to Bedford. So there was definitely a callout and a need for it,” said Gosse.Article contentThe Dartmouth location will offer nearly 5,000 square feet of retail space, with a holistic clinic planned in the building for 2027.Article contentThe location is nearly double the size of the Bedford market. The store will employ 16 people initially and will expand to close to 40 when the clinic opens. The clinic will feature acupuncture, chiropractic, massage therapy, physiotherapy, naturopathic medicine treatments and much more.
