(Liny Lamberink/CBC)A 24-year-old woman was killed and a 23-year-old man left with non-life-threatening injuries after they were hit while walking on the side of the main road through Berens River, Man.A pickup truck hit the two people around 9:30 p.m. on April 17, then sped away from the scene, RCMP said in a news release on Wednesday.A man police believe was driving the truck was later arrested, RCMP said.The 42-year-old from Berens River faces charges of dangerous driving causing death and driving while prohibited.RCMP continue to investigate with the help of a forensic collision reconstructionist.Berens River is located along the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg, about 265 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
