(David Bell/CBC)A 17-year-old girl has died after she was hit by a vehicle in southwestern Manitoba early Sunday, police say.RCMP got a report about a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Road 107 West, in the rural municipality of Cornwallis, around 3:15 a.m. Sunday, police said in a news release.Officers who went to the scene found a 17-year-old girl being treated by first responders. She had been hit by a vehicle and was later pronounced dead at the site of the crash, police said.Investigators believe the teen girl, who was from Brandon, was hit as she was walking on the road with a 16-year-old boy. The two had just left a party in the area.The teen boy was not injured.Police don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the collision.RCMP continue to investigate.More from CBC Manitoba:
