This total was raised by another $10,000 to $43,534 after receiving the bonus from the parent company for raising the most in their store group of locations in smaller areas.Article contentArticle content“We are very lucky to have such a wonderful community support way to go to all involved. We couldn’t do it without you,” said store co-owner Eron Doucette.Article contentReceiving the bonus for the past five years means more than $50,000 extra has gone into the local Jumpstart initiatives, which help families pay for sports fees for their children.Article contentAll money raised stays in the community it is raised in, which means more than $200,000 has been raised by the Canadian Tire in Sydney for youth athletes in the Cape Breton Regional Municipality and Victoria County over the past five years.Article content“We have a great team and work hard all year long raising money for Jumpstart, especially for Jumpstart month.
