The yardage was not provided. The shot was witnessed by Joe Abraham and Judy Abraham.On May 14, Glenn MacKinnon posted a hole-in-one at Seaview on No. 14 from 138 yards using an 8-iron. The shot was witnessed by Dave Guy and Paul Bowne.Back in Sydney, Rick Fraser claimed an ace on May 16 at Lingan on No. 17 using a 9-iron. The yardage was not provided. The shot was witnessed by Lorne MacDougall, John Ryan, and Malcolm Morrison.On May 17 at Lingan, Edgar McNeil hit an ace on No. 17 using a 7-iron. The yardage was not provided. The shot was witnessed by Matt Minglewood and Matt Skinn.In North Sydney, Donald Clarke posted a hole-in-one at Seaview on May 20. The ace was recorded on No. 11 from 145 yards using a 7-iron. Kaylee Mollons recorded a hole-in-one on No. 17 from 115 yards. The club of choice was not provided. The shot was witnessed by Nico Wilson, Troy Wilson, Cruz Wilson, and Rene Wilson.No aces were reported during the month at Dundee Resort and Golf Club, Bell Bay Golf Club, Cape Breton Highlands Links, Baddeck Forks Golf Club, Cabot Links, Cabot Cliffs, Le Portage Golf Club, Alderdale Greens, Passchendaele Golf Club and Gardiner Greens Golf Club.As for hole-in-ones, compared to May 2024, the month saw an increase of one ace.Information on hole-in-one shots is provided to the Cape Breton Post by individual golf courses and is published in both print and online at capebretonpost.com at least once a month.All Cape Breton golf courses are invited, and reminded monthly, to send in their hole-in-one records. The reports can be emailed to jfraser@postmedia.com by the end of each month.Cape Breton courses are also encouraged to provide information on upcoming tournaments this season. The Post is requesting tournament information be sent no later than a week before the event for coverage arrangements.
